The BIG BOTTLING COMPANY (“BBC”) came into existence on August 1st 2018. Today we are positioned to accelerate into the next phase of growth in Africa and to foster the continued growth of its brands in this crucial market by offering the highest quality products at affordable prices.

At BBC, we pay great attention to human capital as a crucial element upon which our successful brands are built. Our “EMPLOYEE” is our backbone and we channel our efforts to create an enabling environment where each employee can develop and reach the peak of his potential through local and international training, team bonding activities and rewards for achievement and excellence.

AJEAST Nigeria Limited, is a subsidiary of AJE Group, a Peruvian soft drink producer, with a vibrant presence in over 20 countries. While the period from the third quarter of 2015 to the first half of 2017 was a challenging time for Nigeria, AJEAST Nigeria Limited made its entrance into the Nigerian economy in October 2015.

First, they expanded to neighbouring Venezuela, Ecuador and then Mexico. Then, the company expanded its footprints to Central America, Brazil and Colombia. Once they had made significant inroads in Latin America, they turned their sights to Asia. By 2010, they were in Thailand, and soon after, in Indonesia. In 2015, it came into the African market, targeting Africa’s business hub, Nigeria and Egypt.

That strategy, according to an article in Financial Times, is a combination of low-cost operating strategy and clever marketing which has enabled AJE to make inroads in some markets in Latin America and Asia. AJEAST’s surprising ability to penetrate the Nigerian market and establish itself as a formidable player in the market space is hinged on AJE’s innate strength in adapting to local market needs.
