Cantine Riunite & Civ S.C.Agr.

RIUNITE & CIV= In 1950 a group of 9 wine producers from the Province of Reggio Emilia set up Cantine Cooperative Riunite. Eleven years later, 4 wineries from the Province of Modena followed their lead and founded Consorzio Interprovinciale Vini (CIV).

The two organizations grew thanks to cooperation between their members. Come the 21st Century they realised that only by merging they would have been able to offer increasingly comprehensive and effective responses to the demands of the global market. Thus, in September 2008 Cantine Riunite & CIV was founded, becoming the hub of Lambrusco production and one of Italy’s leading wine companies.

Another important chapter was written in 2002, when Cantine Riunite bought CANTINE MASCHIO, thus consolidating its position as leading sparkling wine company.
