The farm was named in 1704 when the settlers returned from an arduous journey to find their livestock gone and their home burnt down- hence the name Allesverloren meaning 'all is lost'

Present owner, Danie Malan is the fifth generation on the farm Presenting the pioneering winemaking tradition of his forefathers who acquired the farm in 1872.

For the past four decades, the Malan family has been making this now legendary fortified wine from traditional Portuguese varieties. Appreciate the woody aroma with nut and raisin berry undertones, accentuated by a creamy soft taste of ripe fruit.
